I am a second degree black belt with over 13 years of training, competing and owning an academy. Along with this I have been married for over 10 years with 6 kids and still work as a High School teacher for over 17 years. Education, mentorship and leadership have been my passion since I was young. I've been blessed to share my experiences over many years to help guide youth athletes to seasoned coaches.
How I started
The beginnings of my training came after my brother took an MMA fight. I didn't want him to do this alone so we both started training MMA and traveling to Garden City, KS to test ourselves. We started in a bedroom of my house before graduating to the garage. This was about 8 years ago - flash forward I am now the owner of one of the largest facilities in Ft Worth Tx with multiple world champions across the kid, juvenile and adult ranks. I am also an IBJJF Pan Champ, active competitor with over 100 gold medals -- outpaced by only my son who has over 110 gold medals as well as being a Pan Champ himself.
What's my purpose
Over the years I have learned the hard and easy ways to success as a coach and academy owner. I want to share my experiences with others and help you avoid the hardships I've already gone through on my way to success.
